Can a guy and a gal just be best friends? Hmm...I would say it's kinda hard cos I believe after some time, they tend to fall in love with each other. Unless there's really no chemistry between them or if the guy is a gay or the gal is a lesbian. But let's say, two best friends -> a guy and a gal => the gal who is straight, just realized that the guy is a gay and the poor thing is that the gal really fancy this guy and he's her type of guy, do you think they still can just be best friends? I'm sure this relationship will be hard to maintained unless it's a strong one. I would still say that gal needs to be strong enough just to treat that guy as her best friend.
